The game should be shipping in "2007" for the Xbox 360, some sources say it will come out in the fall, but Bungie(the developper) nor Microsoft(the publisher) announced a more specific date than 2007. It will be Live-enabled, run on an all-new grahics engine to support all of the next-gen graphic techniques, and will be playable in full HD - 1080i godlike Halo baby!
Halo 3 is the final game in the famous Halo trilogy. The first two games were absolute hits on the XBox, Halo 2 is still the number one online game on both the XBox and the XBox 360! The first Halo also came out on PC some years after its XBox release, and was again a great success. Halo 2 is also in development for the PC, but it wil only run on Windows Vista.
Halo 2 ended with a cliffhanger, where the Master Chief was going back to earth. The Covenant occupation of Earth has uncovered a massive and ancient object beneath the African sands - an object who's secrets have yet to be revealed. The armies of the Earth are beaten.
The Chief's AI companion Cortana is still trapped within the Gravemind, Flood intelligence. A civil war is raging between Covenant forces... is this the end of the world?
